The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association has placed Washington’s Jackie Creitz on the first team of the All-American teams for Division III.
She is the fifth woman in program history to make the elite first team, joining Anna Germain, Sara Beegle, Caroline Perry and three-time honoree Mickey Fili ‘15.
Creitz of Schnecksville rowed in the six seat for the Shore ladies’ first varsity eight that won a fourth straight Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference championship this spring. Washington’s first varsity eight went on to finish seventh in the NCAA Division III Championships after winning its petite final.
In 2016, she repeated as a scholar athlete by meeting criteria established by the College Rowing Coaches Association and the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference; she maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Creitz is the only MARC rower to earn first-team All-American recognition in 2016.
A member of the Washington College swim team, Creitz is a presidential fellow at Washington College, where she also is treasurer of the math club, a calculus tutor and student-athlete mentor.
