David A. Burse, 71, of Lower Macungie Township, died Nov. 23, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Charlee Ann (Couse) Burse. They were married 47 years Feb. 8, 2016. Born in Smyth County, Va., he was the son of Beulah Kate (Irvin) Burse and the late James M. Burse.

He was a Naval veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Local 68 Operating Engineers, last working at Journal Square PATH.

He was an animal lover, with a fondness for cats, was interested in genealogy and loved his family.

He is survived by his wife; mother; daughter, Victoria N. and her husband Josh Ziatyk, of Allentown; siblings, Jeanne B. Widdicombe, Ron, Judy B. Kelley, Betty B. McWhorter and Sandi B.; two grandchildren, Zachary and Chelsea Ziatyk; nieces and nephews.
