Alaminta A. Palansky

Alaminta A. “Mindy” Palansky, 75, of Allentown, died Nov. 22, 2016, in her home. She and her husband, William M. “Bill” Palansky celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary prior to his death in 2011.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Emel and Alminta Warnke.

She was raised by foster parents, the late Victor and Lillian Nagle.

A member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, she worked in the textile industry at various Lehigh Valley manufacturers.

In later years, she worked in day cares and watched and taught children.

She enjoyed making her homemade iced tea in the summer and her nut roll, kiffels and various cookies at Christmastime and giving them to her family and friends.

Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandsons, whom she cared for daily during their preschool years.

Her survivors include a son, Michael S. and wife, Cheryl A., of Allentown; grandsons Zachary and Alexander; companion Bob Young of Allentown; sisters Maryann Tremba of Allentown and Carolyn Lyons of Breinigsville.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Arrangements made by Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
