Vivian C. McMullen

Vivian C. McMullen, 87, of Quakertown Center, formerly of Allentown, died Nov. 8, 2016, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of the late Robert J. McMullen.

Born Dec. 24, 1928, in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna (Ziegenfuss) Sharer.

She was a sales clerk at the Army Navy Store, Whitehall, for many years before retiring.

Prior to that, she was a billing specialist at various trucking companies in the Lehigh Valley and an elevator operator at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp.

A member of Grace Lutheran Church, Allentown, she will always be remembered as a caring mother, loving grandmother and best friend to her family.

Her survivors include daughters Debra L. Grundstrom and her spouse, Mary R. Saveri, of Germansville, Carolyn A. Barley-Grundstrom of Allentown; sisters Virginia Ferdinand and Ceda Jane Bacon, both of Haverford; grandchildren Jennifer, Gerald, Matthew and Mary Jane; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by siblings Arlene Gray, and Dorothy and Charles Sharer.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m. Nov. 26 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Grace C. Olson officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
