Donna Claire Nuss, 77, of Orefield, died on Nov. 13, 2016.

Gratefully, she was at home, with her children at her side.

She and her late husband Robert W. Nuss celebrated 49 years together before his death.

Born in Queens, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lillian (LaFrance) Ross.

A 1959 graduate of the Methodist Hospital Nursing School, Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a hospital registered nurse and, for many years, worked with the Visiting Nurses Association.

Moving from Brooklyn to Allentown in 1991, she was an extremely active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall, where she was joyfully involved with the Asbury Quilters, Visitation Care, UM Women and Sunday School.

She also volunteered with after-school tutoring and at the food pantry, both in Allentown.

She was dearly loved by family, friends and members of her church.

Her survivors include daughters Lisa and spouse, the Rev. Dr. David Wallover, Laurie and spouse, Ben Sciortino; son Keith Nuss and spouse Ramzi Abufaraj; grandchildren Zack and spouse, Rachael, Rob, and Katie Wallover, and Ben, Michael, and Angela Sciortino; and great-granddaughter Kerrigan Wallover.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Nov. 26 in Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, PA 18104.

There will be a calling period 10-11 a.m. prior to the service in the church parlor.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made in her name to the church or to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St., Allentown.
