He never hesitated to rewire an electrical project, fix a pipe, repair a furnace, move a family in and out of apartments, coach a grandson’s baseball team, attend a dance recital, take and accompany someone to the doctor and generally support those around him with his quiet strength.
During his life he was a talented sportsman. He bowled a 300 April 13, 1965 when it meant something to bowl a 300. Picking up golf later in life--it became a passion, including a hole-in-one.
