John H. Cole, 76, of New Tripoli, died Nov. 12, 2016, in his home.

He was the husband of Mary Jane C. (Raymer) Cole.

Born April 6, 1940, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Edward S. and Marguerite (Otrosina) Cole.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Employed at the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 36 years, he retired in 1976.

He was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

An avid outdoorsman, he was a life member of the NRA and the Guthsville Rod and Gun Club, and a member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sisters, Elaine Beil and Cathy Seydl; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Nov. 17 at Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville with the Rev. Mark E. Swanson officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10 -11 a.m. Thursday in the church narthex.

Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
