As a reminder, storytime will be held 11 a.m. today (Nov. 17) and Dec. 1 and 8.

Each story will be followed by a craft to make and take home.

No preregistration is necessary, and all ages are welcome.

The library will close 5 p.m. Nov. 21 for carpet installation. We will remain closed through Nov. 25. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we will reopen 10 a.m. Nov. 26.

Any items due while we are closed will be due Nov. 26.

Don’t forget to stop in after the holiday to check out our new carpet!

We are having a book sale 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 18 and 19. We have a wide variety of books available that need a good home.

***

While shopping at our book sale, don’t forget to take a look at our baskets for our annual winter basket social. We have more than 60 baskets and gift certificates available.

Tickets are on sale at the library; you can purchase one, 12 or 25. Winning tickets will be drawn 4 p.m. Nov. 19.

Blue Monkey Sports Bar & Restaurant, 1094 Howertown Road, North Catasauqua, will host a fundraiser for the library 5-10 p.m. Dec. 1. Stop in at the library to pick up a flier to take to the restaurant. Give it to your server, and our friends at Blue Monkey will donate 15 percent of your check total to the library.

You won’t have to cook or do dishes, and the library will get a donation. It’s a win-win for everyone!

***

You’re invited to our upcoming shopping fundraiser for the library at Five Below at Whitehall Mall. Stop by the library, pick up a flier and take it to Five Below between Dec. 11 and 17. The library will receive a 10-percent donation based on your purchases from Five Below.

***

Poinsettia vouchers are available at the library now through Dec. 23. For a cost, you can get a voucher good for one 6.5-inch potted poinsettia from Garden City Greenhouse in North Catasauqua.

Poinsettias may be picked up Dec. 1-24.

***

While you’re picking up your poinsettia voucher, don’t forget our holiday garden flags are still available.

***

Did you know we take donations year round for our book sales? We do not accept VHS tapes, textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest condensed books or any items that have been damaged by smoke or are dirty, ripped or torn.

All donations are tax deductible, and you can sign up to receive a thank-you letter.

You can drop off any donations during the library’s regular hours.
