Carol A. Carruthers, 71, of Emmaus, died Nov. 8, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late David A. Carruthers who died March 25, 1998. Born in Johnson City, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Marion F. (Ross) Kingsley.

She was an executive secretary beginning her career with the former Brockway Truck Co. of Cortland, N.Y., later becoming part of Mack Trucks from where she retired in 1993.

She is survived by daughters, Terri L. Tindula and Suzy M. and her husband Gary Michales; grandchildren, Megan, Matthew and Jacob Tindula, Kirsten Michales and Chance Michales and his wife Bethany; five great-grandchildren.

Services are private. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
