Traffic was detoured from Route 309, just north of Route 143, Lynn Township, for several hours Nov. 11 when a tractor-trailer overturned across both the north- and southbound lanes.
State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, say Sukhtaran Basra, 35, Burlington, Ontario, Canada, sustained a suspected minor injury when the 2015 Freightliner CSC combo he was driving northbound flipped onto its driver’s side at 10:55 a.m. as he attempted a right curve in the road.
The tractor-trailer began to spin clockwise, flipped onto its driver’s side, and came to a final rest across Route 309, facing east.
Basra, who was wearing his seat belt, was transported by Cetronia Ambulance Corps to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
Police say he was charged with driving at an unsafe speed.
New Tripoli Fire Police directed traffic to Route 143 and Mosserville Road. New Tripoli Fire Company and fire police responded to the crash. Yocum Towing removed the tractor-trailer.
