Straight-up singing:Straight No Chaser’s “I’ll Have Another … World Tour,” 3 and 8 p.m. Nov. 12, Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown, celebrates the 20th anniversary of the a cappella group. The album, “The New Old Fashioned” (2015), includes the renowned group’s inimitable vocal style on contemporary hits, including The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face,” Hozier’s “Take Me To Church,” and Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.” Straight No Chaser originated in 1996 at Indiana University. In 2007, a 1998 video of “The 12 Days of Christmas” went viral and has had more than 19 million views. Bel Canto in Allentown:The Bel Canto Children’s Chorus of the Bach Choir of Bethlehem and Cordus Mundi, Bucks County’s premiere male a cappella group, present Poulenc’s “Gloria,” 8 p.m. Nov. 12, in the “Arts at St. John’s” series, St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 37 S. Fifth St., Allentown. Featured is soprano soloist Suzanne Kompass, Moravian College Artist-in-Residence, and organist Stephen Williams, Director of Music and Organist, Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem. Cordus Mundi, under the artistic direction of Rick Rosen, performs Ellingboe’s “Innisfree,“ Nestor’s “Rorate Caeli Desuper” and other selections. Celebrating Father Schubert:“Give Beauty Back,” 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12, Main Stage, Labuda Center for the Performing Arts, DeSales University, Center Valley, celebrates the life and legacy of The Rev. Gerard J. Schubert (1929 - 2015), founder of two great institutions in the Lehigh Valley, the DeSales’ Division of Performing Arts and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, which marked its 25th anniversary season this year. “Give Beauty Back” was Father Schubert’s motto.
