Our adult book club, What Are You Reading Now?, will meet 1 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month. This month, the date is Nov. 22.

We invite you to join us and chat about whatever you’re reading - the ones you loved, the ones you hated and everything in between. We’ll be making a list of the books to hand out to all who want a copy.

We would like to remind our patrons about the special library hours for the Thanksgiving holiday. We will close 5 p.m. Nov. 23 and be closed all day Nov. 24. We will open for regular hours Friday and Saturday.

The library board and staff want to wish all of our patrons a very blessed and happy Thanksgiving season.

The library continues to collect nonperishable canned and boxed food products. This is a year-round project that benefits Whitehall Food Pantry. If you can assist your neighbors in need, drop off your donations at the library during regular hours.

Another nonprofit we are helping is Peaceable Kingdom. This local, no-kill shelter needs pet food, cat litter, clean towels, new toys and supplies to care for cats and dogs until they are adopted.

See Peaceable Kingdom’s wish list at the library.
