Bath: Fall turkey raffle scheduled for Nov. 19

Bath Fire Company Social Club, 135 S. Walnut St., is having a fall turkey raffle Nov. 19. Doors open 11:30 a.m.

There are 26 turkeys and 15 spins, including five different selections. There will be door prizes, and you must be present to win. There also will be a hot meal and refreshments.

On Nov. 19, Klecknersville Rangers Volunteer Fire Company, 2718 Mountain View Drive, Bath, will present “Raymond the Amish Comic Live.” Doors open 6 p.m., and the show starts 8 p.m.

You must be 21 or older to attend.

Also, the fire company is having a Thanksgiving pie sale. Flavors include apple, cherry, peach and blueberry crumb; peanut butter and chocolate cream; and pumpkin and coconut custard.

Order deadline is Nov. 15; pickup date is 3-6 p.m. Nov. 22.

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, Bath, will once again have its mitten tree during the month of November and asks for donations of mittens, scarves and hats for women, men and children in all sizes. You can place the items on or around the mitten tree, which will be located in the gathering area and fellowship hall.

These cold-weather accessories will be handed out to different institutions for Christmas.

The deadline for accepting donations is Nov. 28.

Also during the month of November, Emmanuel’s will be helping Bath Area Food Bank by collecting cookies and canned pasta (SpaghettiOs, spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli, etc.). The food bank is no longer accepting tomato soup, Jell-O or pudding.
