The theater department of Salisbury High School is ready to perform its fall production of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night.” Show times are 7 p.m. Nov. 10, 11, 12 and 3 p.m. Nov. 13. If none of those times are good for you, attend the final dress rehearsal 7 p.m. Nov. 9.
The Bruce Uhl basketball camp for Salisbury Township boys in grades four to seven will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 13 in the high school gym. This camp is run by the varsity basketball coaches and players. Pre-registration is encouraged with the form available on both elementary school and middle school websites.
The fifth grade students at Western Salisbury Elementary are inviting their parents/guardians to lunch Nov. 15. Fifth grade lunch begins 12:45 p.m. and parents and guardians are asked to be prompt.
More early dismissal days are ahead for Salisbury Township district schools. Nov. 17 is a 1 p.m. dismissal for elementary students only. Nov. 18, 21, 22 and 23 are early dismissals for all schools. High school and middle school will dismiss 12:15 p.m. and both elementary schools 1 p.m. All schools are closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Nov. 24, 25 and 28.
A school board meeting is scheduled 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the administration building.
The second annual Salisbury Township School District community breakfast for residents, employees and school district alumni will be held 9 to 11 a.m. Nov. 19 at SHS, 500 E. Montgomery St.
Inaugural Alumni Wall of Honor Recipients will also be recognized at the breakfast. There is no charge for the event; however, a reservation is required by Nov. 15 so RSVP by calling 610-797-2062, ext. 1000.
Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church will hold its Thanksgiving-themed community breakfast 8 to 11 a.m. Nov. 12. A donation is suggested. All proceeds benefit the Jubilee Breakfast Ministry in Allentown.
Also at Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, the Moravian College Choir will perform a concert 3 p.m. Nov. 13.
The Devonshire drop-off center is open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 15 and 19. The days of operation are the first and third Tuesday and Saturday of the month.
SHS Key Club is selling fresh fruit in 10- and 20-pound boxes of oranges, tangelos, grapefruits or an orange/grapefruit mix. Orders are due to the school by Nov. 11.
Salisbury Middle School is holding a canned food drive. Items needed include canned fruits and vegetables, canned soups and pastas, dry pastas and rice, boxed/packaged flavored rices/pastas, dry cereal including oatmeal, and cream of wheat, granola, cereal bars, canned/boxed juices and dry pancake mixes and syrups.
Salisbury High School student government is also holding a food drive. Food will be delivered to the food bank Nov. 11.
A designer purse and Longaberger Basket bingo sponsored by the Salisbury Twirlers will be held Nov. 13 at Salisbury Middle School. Doors open noon; bingo starts 1 p.m. Extra game cards, specials, basket raffles, refreshments and door prizes will be available.
