Coplay library: Baskets on display starting Nov. 5

Our November basket social is just around the corner. Baskets will be on display at the library starting Nov. 5. Drawing for all the prizes will be 4 p.m. Nov. 19.

The library will be packed with many items, and some of them will make great Christmas gifts!

Tickets will be on sale at the library; you can purchase one, 12 or 25.

***

As a reminder, Thanksgiving storytimes will be held 11 a.m. Thursdays - Nov. 3, 10 and 17. Join Miss Veronica to explore stories about pilgrims, Native Americans and being grateful. Each story will be followed by a craft to make and take home.

No preregistration is necessary, and all ages are welcome.

***

Our final book sale of the year will be 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 18 and 19. We have books of all shapes, sizes and subjects just looking for a good home.

Donations for our book sale are being accepted. We do not accept VHS tapes, textbooks, encyclopedias or any items that have been damaged by smoke or are dirty, ripped or torn. All donations are tax deductible, and you can sign up to receive a thank you letter.

You can drop off any donations during the library’s regular hours.

***

The library will be closed for carpet installation Nov. 22-25. We are tentatively scheduled to reopen Nov. 26, but in the event that would change, check our website, coplaypubliclibrary.org, or our Twitter and Facebook pages.

No fines will be charged for days we are closed.

***

Scrabble night will be 5-7 p.m. Nov. 28. Our experts are always looking for a challenge!

***

Poinsettia vouchers are available at the library now through Dec. 23. For a cost, you can get a voucher good for one 6.5-inch potted poinsettia from Garden City Greenhouse in North Catasauqua.

Poinsettias may be picked up Dec. 1-24.

***

While you’re picking up your poinsettia voucher, don’t forget our holiday garden flags are still available.
