Coplay Sports Inc. will meet 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Sixth Street fieldhouse. With its fall baseball program coming to an end, the focus will be on basketball.

With one informational meeting under its belt, the borough’s 150th anniversary group will gather 7 p.m. Nov. 17 in council chambers at borough hall.

There will be a nine-member steering committee selected. Talks will center on if the 2019 celebration will be a day, weekend or monthlong event or a series of events throughout 2019.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., will hold a blood drive Nov. 26. Anyone 17 and older may donate.

The borough’s public works department is readying its equipment and rolling stock for winter. Salt supplies will be plentiful to keep the roads clear.

If an emergency is called, vehicles will have to be moved off snow routes - Chestnut, Second and Hokendauqua streets.
