Dragovitz 29th at districts

Whitehall High School cross country runner, Autumn Dragovitz, came down with a viral infection last week, but that did not stop her from placing 29th at the District 11 3A Girls’ Cross Country Championships last Wednesday at Bethlehem Municipal Golf Course.

“I could have done a lot better if I was feeling good,” Dragovitz said. “I could have gone faster.”

The Zephyr sophomore’s time was 21:11.30.

“I just wanted to be done,” said Dragovitz. “I tried to pass people if I could. At the finish, I just felt awful.”

Dragovitz intends to qualify for the state meet next year.

Teammates, Rachel Herr placed 36th with a time of 21:28.94, and Juanita Flores placed 46th with a time of 21:42.74.

Also from Whitehall, Devon Roberts had a time of 22:02.24, Hannah Gill’s time was 22:59.96, and Casey Cunningham’s time was 24:45.10.

In the District XI Class AAA boys’ race, Pleasant Valley’s Seth Slavin took first place with a time of 16:09.29.
