Timothy J. Amrhein, 43, died Oct. 6, 2016, in New York City, just two months after being diagnosed with cancer. He was the husband of Lynnette Amrhein. Born in Seoul, Korea, he was the son of John and Elaine Amrhein. He spent his childhood in Emmaus.
He graduated from Turlock High School, in California, and went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in theater from Whitman College and a Master of Fine Arts in scenic design and technology from Wayne State University. He had a distinguished career in theater, most recently as professor and chair of the Department of Performing and Fine Arts at York College (CUNY) in New York City. He was much loved by his students, colleagues and friends.
He is survived by his wife; daughter Zoe; mother and father; brother, Karl.
