Lehigh Carbon Community College partners with the Pennsylvania State Police and Lehigh County in a four-week course on the dangers of heroin at the Scheller-Woodman Community Services Center on the college’s main campus, Schnecksville, North Whitehall Township.
The sessions are free and open to the public.
During the second session, 7 - 8:30 p.m. Nov. 2, scientists explain heroin’s cultivation process and other synthetic drugs.
Week three, 7 - 8:30 p.m. Nov. 9, is about enforcement through the Pennsylvania State Police, Lehigh County District Attorney’s office, Lehigh County Probation and Lehigh County Coroner.
The last week, 7 - 8:30 p.m. Nov. 16, describes treatment options provided by local heroin recovery centers.
The first session, Oct. 25, was about families and individuals impacted by heroin addiction.
