Thomas Varner, 21, died Oct. 12, 2016, after he lost his strong fight against heroin addiction.

He was the son of Mark Varner of Duryea and Mary Varner of Catasauqua.

He was a hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Jace Michael and Jace’s mother, Kacey Zangl; a brother, James; a sister, Nicole; paternal grandparents, William Varner of Allentown and Gloria Stout of Bath; maternal grandmother, Theresa Fox of Allentown; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
