Russell W. “Knut” Henry, 83, of Topton, formerly of Kempton and Kutztown, died Oct. 17, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
He and his wife Virginia M. (Zimmerman) Henry celebrated their 25th wedding aniversary in August.
Born in Kempton, he was a son of the late Roy C. and Miriam E. (Bond) Henry.
A lifelong self-employed farmer in Kempton, he was also a cattle dealer operating throughout the Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey areas.
He was a member of Jacob’s Church, Jacksonville, Lynn Township; a former charter member of the Kempton Lions Club, one of the organizers of the Kempton Community Center and a former member of its bowling league.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served in a peacetime era.
He was an avid collector of milk bottles and various other antiques.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by stepdaughters Jill H., wife of Bruce Hayden of Mechanicsville, Md, Julia R., wife of Gallo Priori, of Emmaus and Jennifer V., wife of Joseph Juntunen of Fleetwood; stepson, Jesse P. (Karla) Sterner, New London Wisc.; 12 step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth, step-daughter Jane Christman and her husband Carl W. Christman.
