Robert L. Blank

Robert L. Blank, 81, of Allentown, died Oct. 3, 2016, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Sandra J. (Frankenfield) Blank. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 29. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harold E. and Goldie M. (Smith) Blank.

He was employed as a sheet metal worker for Mack Trucks until 1990 and then with Trexler Industries, retiring in 1997.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Allentown.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Mack retirees U.A.W. 677. He was a life member of Lehigh Valley Active Life and the Alburtis Senior Citizens.

He enjoyed steam engines, playing pinochle and bingo. He was an avid sports fan.

His greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons and supporting them in all their activities. They were the love of his life.

He is survived by his wife; son, Timothy S. and his girlfriend Anne Hanna, of Springfield; brother, Ronald and his wife Sue, of Macungie; sisters, Fern Romig, of Macungie and Shirley M. Mader, of Alburtis; grandsons, Nicholas L. and Alexander T. and his fiance Kayla Hammer. He was predeceased by his brother and sisters.
