Catherine Williams

Catherine “Kitty” Williams, 88, of Catasauqua, died Oct. 19, 2016, in her home surrounded by loving family.

She was the spouse of the late Richard B. William.

Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Harleigh and Catherine (Morrow) Fatzinger.

While she enjoyed traveling, she resided in Catasauqua her entire life.

She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, a graduate of Catasauqua High School, and a secretary of the former Fuller Company.

She later worked at Gillespie’s Jewelry Store, Northampton.

An avid homemaker, she raised three children and, later in life, volunteered for the Visiting Nurses Association, was a first grade senior volunteer at Sheckler Elementary School, delivered Meals on Wheels and, for a short time, assisted at the Catasauqua Food Bank.

A lifelong member of the Catasauqua Women’s Club, she was an avid reader who enjoyed discussing novels and authors with her book club.

Her survivors include a sister Margaret Corcoran and husband Lewis; and brother Harleigh Fatzinger; sons Donald Wallace and his spouse, Brenda, and David Wallace and his spouse, Arlene; daughter Ann Dreyman and her husband Wayne; grandchildren Jennifer Groff and her husband Nathan, Jonathan Wallace, Alexandra Rodriguez and her spouse Alex, and Rebecca Dreyman; stepdaughter Jacquee Hendrickson and her spouse Ed; great-grandson Gavin Groff, who was the light of her life; and members of her extended family and friends.

She was predeceased by her first husband Donald Wallace, and by a brother Frank Fatzinger.

Her memorial service will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Road, Catasauqua, on All Saints’ Day, Nov. 1.

There will be a calling period 9-10 a.m. before the service at the church.

Lunch at the church will follow the graveside burial.
