Catherine I. Frey, 88, of East Allen Township, died Oct. 24, 2016, at the inpatient hospice of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Robert D. Frey Jr. for 50 years.

Born in Moore Township, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Emma (Beers) Becker.

She was a sewing machine operator in the garment industry where she worked for 46 years before retiring in 1990.

She was a member of International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union.

She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Seemsville.

She is survived by five daughters, Cathy and her husband Merion Buskirk of East Allen Township, Tina and her husband Gary Rutt of Northampton, JoAnn Snyder and her fiance Bill Lauer of Palmerton, Jayne and her husband Daniel Beers of Walnutport and Tammy and her husband Maynard Barthol, with whom she resided; a son, Robert “Butch” and his wife Tracy Frey of New Tripoli; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol and her husband Edward Cesanek of East Allen Township and Nancy “Jane” Goldberg of Cape Coral, Fla.; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Becker; and a sister, Lillian Bird.

There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m., followed by a service 11 a.m., Oct. 27 at the funeral home, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Bath, 18014. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Snyder Church Cemetery, Northampton.
