Marjorie E. Solt, 82, of Wescosville, died Oct. 12, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Allen J. Solt. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Edwin C. and Eva C. (Wirth) Martin.
She spent 25 years with the United States Postal Service, where she was postmaster at the Springtown Post Office and the Alburtis Post Office, retiring in 1992.
She was a member, past president, vice president, and secretary of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States. She was also a member and past secretary of the local chapter of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara A. and her husband Keith Dierolf, of East Stroudsburg; son, Gerald A., at home; granddaughters, Jacqueline D. and her husband Mark Walsh, of Temecula, Calif. and Cassandra Dierolf, of East Stroudsburg; grandsons, John P. Munson, of Selden, N.Y. and James M. Munson, of Tempe, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Connor, Corban and Camryn; sister, Lorraine Graessel, of Coral Springs, Fla.; brother, Albert Martin, of Punta Gorda, Fla. She was predeceased by a daughter, Diane L., sister, Delores Kline and brother, Charles Martin.
