Leonard G. “Len” Kastner, 80, of Macungie, died Oct. 12, 2016, in the In-Patient Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Donna B. (Ruff) Kastner. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in April. Born in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Leonard G. and Mary (Toth) Kastner.

He worked as a failure analysis engineer for Bell Labs in New Jersey from 1953 to 1989.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a former member of the Lions Club in Virginia. He was also a private pilot and flight instructor in Morristown, N.J.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Diane and her husband Thomas A. Willans, of Nazareth and their children, Kyle T., Brooke N. and Connor J.; son, James L. and his wife Stephanie L., of Seattle, Wash. and their children, J. Cole and Ella J.; brother, Dave, of Pittsburgh.
