Eighteen clubs participated in the annual Homecoming float building and parade Oct. 14 at Parkland High School.
The students had a lot of fun building and displaying their amazing talent with the floats and skits.
The winners of the float judging are:
First place was awarded to the Latin Club for its float “Paris and the Golden Apple.”
The second place winner was the National Art Honor Society with its “Indiana Jones and the Treasure of Angels 34” float.
Coming in third place was PALS with its “Angel 34 Oscar Night” float.
Winning for funniest skit was the German Club for its float “A New German Cinderella.”
Winning for best message was the French club with “Bridge of Hope.”
Best skit was awarded to Club Med for “Olympics.”
The Parkland Pride award went to the cheerleaders for their “EPC Gold Medal Sports” float.
Most educational message was awarded to the Class of 2017 with “Paws of Gold.”
The best skit award went to the National Honor Society for its “Harry Potter and the Golden Snitch” float; and winning the Angel 34 Award was Parkland News Network with its float “Golden Opportunities.”
