Join us for our “The Walking Dead” group discussion 1-3 p.m. Oct. 22. We will discuss all the happenings surrounding your favorite show, characters and story lines.

We also will have a costume contest, and the winner will receive a special prize!

As a reminder, storytime with Miss Veronica will be 11 a.m. Oct. 20 (today) and 27 and Nov. 3. No registration is necessary, and all ages are welcome to attend.

We have a fundraiser Oct. 24-28 at the Five Below store in the Whitehall Mall. Stop by the library to pick up the special flier, present it to your cashier any day that week, and 10 percent of your purchase total will be donated to the library.

Spooky Scrabble night will be 5-7 p.m. Oct. 31. Our experts are always looking for a challenge.

Join us for our November basket social. Baskets will be on display at the library Nov. 5-19. Drawing for all the prizes will be 4 p.m. Nov. 19.

There is something for everyone, and many potential Christmas gifts await the lucky winners.

Tickets are on sale at the library; you can purchase one, 12 or 25.

If anyone would like to donate items for a basket or an entire basket, drop them off at the library.

While you are visiting us for the basket social, don’t forget our book sale 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 18 and 19. A lot of special treasures are just looking for a good home!

Donations for our book sale are still being accepted. We do not accept VHS tapes, textbooks, encyclopedias or any items that have been damaged by smoke, are dirty, ripped or torn. All donations are tax deductible, and you can sign up to receive a thank you letter. You can drop off any donations during the library’s regular hours.

The library will be closed for carpet installation Nov. 22-25. We are tentatively scheduled to reopen Nov. 26, but in the event that would change, check our website, coplaypubliclibrary.org, and our Twitter and Facebook pages.

We now have poinsettia vouchers available at the library until Dec. 23. For a cost, you can get a voucher good for one 6.5-inch potted poinsettia from Garden City Greenhouse in North Catasauqua.

Poinsettias may be picked up anytime Dec. 1-24.
