Bruce D. Bobo Jr., 53, of Whitehall, died Oct. 12, 2016, in his home surrounded by family. He was the husband of Donna (Kern) Bobo for 21 years.

Born in Tennessee, he was the son of Bruce and Gloria Bobo of Allentown and Barbara (Curry) of Tampa, Fla., and the late Larry Greene.

He was a subject matter expert for Lehigh Valley Hospital for the last 14 years and was instrumental with the advanced ICU.

He was involved in EMS, amateur radio clubs, LVHN Emergency Management and was the Lehigh County ARES emergency coordinator.

He provided emergency communications for Hurricanes Andrew and Sandy, 9/11 in New York, many local emergencies and for community organizations.

He was a U.S. Army disabled veteran.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Gregory of Whitehall; and a daughter Emily Nonnemaker of Whitehall.

There will be a calling time 5-8 p.m. Oct. 26 and 8-10 a.m. Oct. 27. A service will be 10 a.m. Oct. 27 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., Fullerton., followed by military burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery 12:30 p.m.
