Whitehall library: Tickets for library’s basket raffle are on sale until Oct. 15
Stop by the library and look at the beautiful baskets we have on display until noon Oct. 15. Tickets can be purchased at the front circulation desk. For cost of a raffle sheet, call the library.
You won’t need to be present to win, but we will need your name and phone number on the ticket stub when you buy your tickets. Winners will be called Oct. 17.
Some of the baskets include a $300 gift card from Mealey’s Furniture, Penn State University backpack full of goodies, new coffee pot, book baskets, a cooking basket, gift card from Haines Exxon Gas, tickets to American Helicopter Museum, two tickets to an IronPigs game in 2017, an office basket, a set of books by Elin Hilderbrand, Richard Castle book set, Downton Abbey basket and a jar of shiny pennies!

Join us 11 a.m. Oct. 15 to find out what you and your family can do to help prevent bird strikes on your windows.
Marie North, a certified sustainable building adviser in the Lehigh Valley, will lead a short, kid-friendly, interactive discussion about why birds hit glass and provide a hands-on activity of making window decals to prevent those hits that hurt.

Our third Monday open mic and jam night is 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17 with special guests Friends of Tom. Rocking the Valley Online Radio will be broadcasting live from the library.
Entertainers interested in performing three songs or a 15-minute set are asked to sign up before 6:30 p.m. Musicians, singers, poets, comedians, actors, writers, storytellers, etc., come show off your stuff. We also welcome you to just come and be part of the audience!

At 6:15 p.m. Oct. 18, join us for our third Tuesday movie night. “Captain America: Civil War” will be shown. Come to the library to watch a movie!

Our fourth Tuesday adult coloring club will meet 11 a.m. Oct. 25. Anyone 18 years old and older is welcome to join us.
The library has some supplies but invites you to bring your own as well.

During our What Are You Reading Now? book club, which meets the fourth Tuesday of every month, we talk about books we are currently reading or have read and share titles and authors with others. We are making a list to hand out to everyone. The club next meets 1-2 p.m. Oct. 25.
