Robert H. Roth, 81, of Orefield, Oct. 5, 2016, in his home.He was the husband of the late Alberta J. (Everett) Roth.

Born March 13, 1935, in South Whitehall Township, he was the son of the late Esther (Fenstermaker) Spitko.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during a peacetime era.

A manager at the former Laneco and Two Guys Department Store for 45 years before retiring, he previously worked at the former Trojan Powder Company.

A 1953 graduate of Parkland High School, he was a lifelong advocate of Parkland where he rarely missed a sporting, cultural or social event.

He was a member of the board of directors of the Parkland School District Education Foundation and a member of the Trojan Alumni Varsity Club.

His survivors include sons Tracy S. and William J., both of Orefield; sister Eleanor L. Shupp of Whitehall; and brother Charles Shimer of Allentown.
