An Orefield man has turned himself in to Lehigh Township police for allegedly shooting a weapon from a roadway into a residence.
According to a media information release from the department, Michael William Belcher, 36, was taken into custody about 1 a.m. Sept. 23 and transported to Northampton County Central Booking for an arraignment.
On the afternoon of Sept. 22, police were dispatched to the 4200 block ofMountain View Drive, Walnutport, for a report of a single shot fired.
An arrest warrant was issued for Belcher, who was reported to be driving a dark-colored Subaru.
In the warrant, police stated Belcher was believed to be armed and dangerous.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, police said, adding a motive has not been disclosed.
