Mary T. (Haklitch) Smith, 97, of Cherryville, died Sept. 29, 2016, at Fellowship Manor. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Smith.

Born in Packerton, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Marakovits) Haklitch.

She worked at Cross Country Clothes, Egypt, for 37 years. Earlier, she worked at Lennox Hill Hospital, New York City, for eight years.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Egypt.

She was a member of NOVA women’s auxiliary.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara and her husband of Ronald Nederostek; two granddaughters, Beth Ann and her husband William Schoch and Deann and her husband Jon Csensits; six great-grandchildren, Matthew, Phillip and Alexander Schoch and Jon John, Kaitlyn and Jack Csensits; and a brother-in-law, Gerald and his wife Arlene Smith.

She was predeceased by four brothers, Stephen, Joseph, Frank and Louis; and a sister, Anna Gontkosky.
