Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin has announced a Bethlehem police officer was charged with indecent exposure and disorderly conduct following alleged incidents in South Whitehall and Lower Macungie townships.
Martin, during an Oct. 7 press conference, said Glenn Curtis Woolard, 35, was charged with two counts each of indecent exposure, a misdemeanor of the second degree; and disorderly conduct, a summary offense.
Woolard, who is married lives along Mine Drive, Lower Macungie Township.
During an investigation conducted by State Police Troop M, Fogelsville, police allege Woolard was seen masturbating in his car on two separate occasions.
An adult female allegedly saw him in the parking lot of Target, 749 Krocks Road, Lower Macungie, during the first incident, which occurred Sept. 27.
On Oct. 5, another adult female operating a truck allegedly saw him engaging in the same behavior while each were driving in their separate vehicles along Hamilton Boulevard between Cedar Crest Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue, South Whitehall.
Woolard has been placed on suspension by Bethlehem Chief of Police Mark DiLuzio and will be facing further disciplinary action. He has been a police officer since February, 2013.
Prior to his employment with the Bethlehem Police Department, Woolard served honorably with the U.S. Army in the 75th Ranger Battalion and did multiple tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
According to Lehigh County court records, Woolard was arraigned on Oct. 7 before District Judge Rod Beck of Slatington in Central Booking at which time no bail was set.
He was released on his own recognizance, according to court records.
Woolard’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 20 before District Judge Michael Faulkner, Upper Macungie Township.
