Bernard A. Csencsits, 77, of Northampton, died Sept. 27, 2016, at Lehigh Valley HospitalMuhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Stoisits) Csencsits for 52 years.

Born in Whitehall, he was a son of the late Louis and Emma (Schwartz) Csencsits.

He was an Allentown Central Catholic High School graduate.

He worked for Exide Corporation of Allentown for 31 years until he retired in 1993. He then worked part time as a funeral assistant for Schisler Funeral Home Inc. for six years.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

He was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Sick and Beneficial Society, of which he was treasurer for 25 years, and the in-house bowling and the traveling leagues. He was a life member of Tri-boro Sportsmen Club, Northampton.

He was a YABA Jr. bowling coach for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister-in-law, Jean and her husband Jack Druckenmiller of Northampton; a brother-in-law, Richard Stoisits of Northampton; a niece, Jill; a nephew, Jason and his wife Stefani; a great-nephew, Jase; a sister; Janet Yost of New Tripoli; and three nephews, Ronald, Trevor and Kevin.
