Holly B. Hinkel

Holly B. Hinkel, 55, of East Texas, Lower Macungie Township, died Oct. 5, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of Dennis J. Hinkel, to whom she was married 32 years last month. Born in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Elwood E. and Beverly O. (Lobb) Landon.

She attended St. Paul’s U.C.C., Trexlertown and was a member of E. Bangor United Methodist Church.

After graduation from Bangor High School in 1978, she received a bachelor of science in nursing degree from York College and has worked at Lehigh Valley Hospital for 35 years as a registered nurse.

She was very active with her East Texas community and was recently part of the East Texas Village Study Committee, was a previous Girl Scout Troop leader in Lower Macungie Township and a past president with the East Texas Playground Association. In her younger years while living in Bangor, she was part of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, which is a Masonic youth service organization.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Laura E., of New York City, Kelsey B., of East Texas; brother, Bradford E., of Lower Macungie Township, Scott C., of Bangor; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Deborah Landon.
