Calvin M. Sanders, 70, of Lower Macungie Township and Port Saint Lucie, Fla., died Oct. 7, 2016, in his Lower Macungie Township home. He was the beloved husband of Mary Grace (Fitzgerald) Sanders. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Calvin D. and Mildred (Augustine) Sanders.

A 1964 graduate of Richmond Heights High School, he received his bachelor’s degree from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio in 1968. He furthered his education studying at Cleveland State University. For the past 22 years, he served as president, and most recently as chairman of U-Pol North America, working for U-Pol Inc., Stockertown.

He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

He is survived by his wife; son, Michael C. and his wife Kristen, of Allentown; daughter, Patricia M., of Morris Plains, N.J.; brother, Richard J. and his wife Mary Jo, of Canton, Ohio; sister, Patricia and her husband Michael Clark, of Grayling, Mich., granddaughter, Taylor; grandson, Evan; nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held 12:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Ave., Allentown. A calling hour will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in the church. Arrangements were made by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown.
