Nancy R. Silfies, 77, of Bath, died Oct. 2, 2016, at her home. She was the wife of the late Robert Silfies Sr.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late William L. Sr. and Jessie (Welliver) Gogle.

She worked for 12 years as a home health aide for St. Luke’s V.N.A. until she retired in 1995.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Northampton.

She was a member of the Christian Women’s Association, Bethlehem.

She is survived by two sons, Randy C. and his wife Kim of Bath and William R. and Laurie Peil of Coudersport; a daughter, Nancy and her husband Dean Haftl of Bath; a brother, William J. Jr. and his wife Carol Gogle of Allentown; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Robert C. Silfies Jr.; and a half brother, Richard Grim.
