Macungie Minstrelaires present ‘Lyrics and Laughter’

The Macungie Minstrelaires will present “Lyrics and Laughter” at Lower Macungie Middle School 8 p.m. Oct. 21, 22 and Oct. 28 and 29. Matinees are 2 p.m. Oct. 22 and 29. The Parkland Art League will meet at its new location 7 p.m. at the Macungie Institute, 510 E. Main St, Macungie. Anyone with an interest in art is invited to attend a demonstration in oil by Bethlehem artist Sandra Corpora. Refreshments will be served.

The Macungie Farmers Market, located in Macungie Memorial Park, is open 4 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through October. Oct. 27 will be the final market of the season and will feature trick or treating.

The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen will hold an Artisan Boutique Show 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 8 and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Macungie Institute. For more information, go to www.lvcraftsguild.org.

There will be a Cruise Night Oct. 15 at Macungie Memorial Park. Cars will start arriving 3 p.m.

Grace Lutheran Church will hold a Harvest Home service 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 9 to give thanks. Non-perishable food items will be collected for the area food bank program.

The Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis, will hold a craft bazaar 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 15. There will be crafts, a white elephant, basket auction, bake sale and food.

The first annual Macungie Halloween 2-mile Fun Run will be held 6:45 a.m. Oct. 22 (prior to the Macungie Halloween Parade) starting at Buttonwood and Main streets in Macungie.
