Helen (Jack) Hoefling, 101, of Hellertown, died Oct. 2, 2016, in her home.

She was the wife of the late William A. Hoefling Jr.

Born Aug. 26, 1915, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Helen G. (Gundy) DuComb.

A 1938 graduate of the former West Chester Teachers College with a Bachelor of Science degree in education, she taught school in Medford, N.J., before retiring in 1948.

Her survivors include children John W. Hoefling and his wife, Robyn, of Glen Head, N.Y., Patricia J. Kintzer of Diamond Bar, Calif., Susan E. Stamos and her husband, William, of Orefield; stepsons William A. Hoefling III and his wife, Lavonne, of Harrisburg, Thomas Richard Hoefling of Chino Hills, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 6-7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Interment will take place Saturday at Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd.
