Elizabeth A. Tisdale, 86, died Sept. 19, 2016, at her residence at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Warren Place.

Born in College Station, Texas, she was a daughter of the late S.D. and Emma (Wilmes) Snyder.

She was a home economics teacher for 26 years in the Whitehall-Coplay School District until she retired.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Allentown, where she sang in the choir, assisted with transporting the elderly to the church and volunteered for several church functions.

She is survived by a son, Paul; a sister-in-law, Shirley Snyder; a niece, Robin; and two nephews, Lee and Mike.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Vernon.
