Dennis E. Edelman, Sr., 69, of Emmaus, died Sept. 28, 2016, at home. He was the husband of Margaret J. (Butz) Edelman. They celebrated 48 years of marriage in June. Born in Emmaus, he was a son of the late Louis and Erma (Gracely) Edelman.

He was a courier for Rodale Press 36 years, retiring in 2013.

He was a lifetime member of No. 2 Fire Company, Emmaus. He enjoyed hot rods and going to car shows.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Dennis E. Jr. and his wife Lisa, of Emmaus; James B. and his wife Tanya, of Emmaus; brothers, Ronald, of Emmaus; Louis and his wife Janet, of Dushore; sisters, Loretta and her husband Martin Godusky, Norma and her husband Stephen Godusky and Maryann and her husband Michael Gnida, all of Emmaus; four grandchildren, Ryder, Corey, Avery and Emma. He was predeceased by a brother, Russell and sister, Ella Ringer.
