Don’t forget to attend our book and bake sale 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 7 and 8. If you would like to get a jump on looking over the items we have, come to our preview night 4-7 p.m. today, Oct. 6. There is an admission charge for the preview night.

Plenty of baked goods will be available for purchase all three days, as well as several raffle prizes you can take a chance on.

In addition, 50/50 raffle tickets are still being sold; you can purchase one, 12 or 25.

The drawing will be held 4 p.m. Oct. 8.

As a reminder, storytime with Miss Veronica will be 11 a.m. Oct. 6 (today), 13 and 20. No registration is necessary, and all ages are welcome to attend.

The library will sponsor another comedy night at Wisecrackers Comedy Club inside Ramada Inn, MacArthur Road, Whitehall, Oct. 15. Doors open 8 p.m., and the show will be from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

One half of the cost of each ticket sold will go toward the library.

Boscov’s shopping passes for the Friends Helping Friends event are on sale at the library. Take your pass to the store, and you will be able to take up to 25 percent off your purchases 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Oct. 18. Some exclusions apply.

The library will close 6 p.m. Oct. 18, so everyone can enjoy Coplay’s annual Halloween parade.

The seventh-season premiere of “The Walking Dead” is just around the corner. Join us 1-3 p.m. Oct. 22 to talk about your favorite characters and story lines.

We also will have a costume contest, and the winner will receive a prize.

We are running a fundraiser at the Five Below store Oct. 24-28. Stop by the library and pick up a special flier, present it to the cashier at the MacArthur Road store and 10 percent of your purchase total will be donated to the library.
