Girls 14th at Paul Short Invitational

The Whitehall cross country teams took part in the Paul Short Invitational this past weekend.

The girls finished 14th overall in their division and were led by Rachel Herr who took 37th with a time of 20:31. Autumn Dragovits was right behind her taking 39th in 20:34.

Other finishers for the girls were: 59 Juanita Flores 20:53, 130 Devon Roberts 21:57, 139 Hannah Gill 22:09, 175 Caroline Martin 23:10, 236 Alyssa Jimenez 26:16 42.

The boys were led by Caleb Straub who crossed 104th with a time of 17:52.

Other Whitehall finishers for the boys were: 104 Caleb Staub 17:52, 218 Samuel Rappaport 18:58, 219 Andrew Hawk 18:58, 277 Gavin Wood 20:15, 278 Nick Demjan 20:17, 290 Michael Bogucki 20:57, 302 Alec Sodl 22:06.

On Sept. 27, the team competed at Emmaus.

Gabby Sacks of Central was the first girl to cross in 20:28.

For Whitehall, Autumn Dragovits was third in 21:34. Rachel Herr of WHS was right after her in fourth in 21:43.

Juanita Flores, with a time of 21:55, was seventh and Devon Roberts took 13th in 22:39. Hannah Gill was 19th in 23:06 and Caroline Martin had a time of 24:18 to finish 29th.

Del Vierling of Emmaus overall winner for the boys in 17:40, well ahead of Michale Grapsy of Central in 18:03 who took second.

For Whitehall, taking 11th was Caleb Staub in 18:50. Finishing 13th was Andrew Hawk in 18:58 and finishing in 31st was Sam Rappaport in 19:27.

On Sept. 20 at Pocono Mountain, Seth Slavin of Pleasant Valley was first with a time of 16:44 to lead the boys.

Whitehall’s Andrew Hawk was 13th in 18:32 with Caleb Straub taking 16th in 18:38.

For the girls, Lizz Eberhardt of the Bears took first in 19:47.

Whitehall’s Autumn Dragovits was the highest Zephyr coming in 8th in 21:42. Rachel Herr was 11th in 22:05 and Devon Roberts was 14th in 22:32. Juanita Flores was 22nd in 23:00.
