Shirley Ann (Mescis) Reppert, 81, of Allentown, died Sept. 21, 2016, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of John W. Reppert Sr., to whom she was married 63-1/2 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Evelyn (Thomas) Mesics.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, Allentown.

She was a waitress at The Fairgrounds Hotel and Woolworths. For 15 years, she was employed at GE as a Calrod assembler. Her most favorable years were as a school bus driver for Laidlaw School Bus Company.

She had a passion for playing pinochle, was an avid sports fan, enjoyed traveling and going to the casinos. Her favorite saying was “Vegas Baby!” She loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband; children, John W. II, of Virginia Beach, Va., James J. and his wife Christiane, of Joppa, Md., Susanne M. and her husband John Geiger, of Emmaus; grandchildren, Kelly Ann, wife of Keri Beahm, Leah Beth, Shirley Ann, James J. Jr.; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Geraldine Capwell and Janice Zelena.
