Patrice Ilene (Wentz) Schlonecker, died Sept. 2, 2016, from complications following a brief illness. She was the wife of Bill Schlonecker. They were married 42 years. She was the daughter of the late Paul I. Wentz, Jr. and Orpha L. (Stortz) Wentz. She was raised in the Lehigh Valley and graduated from Emmaus High School, Class of 1973.

She was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church, Newark, Del., and as “Pastor’s wife,” was an extension of her husband’s ministry.

She proudly served four years in the United States Navy and in 1976 earned the “Shore Sailor of the Quarter” award and was a finalist for the “Shore Sailor of the Year” award.

She poured her heart into being a homemaker, providing a safe, loving environment and leaving her legacy.

She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Amy and her husband Aaron Susek, Andrea and her husband Jason Rohrer, Amber and her husband Chase Ross and Anne; five granddaughters, Callie, Megan, Kathryn, Emmeline and Claire; three brothers, Paul Wentz III, Phillip Wentz, Peter Wentz; stepmother, Cheryl Wentz; many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law as well as 13 nephews and nieces.

There will be a private interment in Northwood Cemetery, Emmaus. Arrangements were made by the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, Newark, Del.
