Elizabeth A. Tisdale, 86 died on Sept. 19, 2016, at her residence in Fellowship Manor in Whitehall.
She was the wife of the late Warren Place.
Born in College Station, Texas, she was a daughter of the late S.D. and Emma E. (Wilmes) Snyder.
She was the home economics teacher in the Whitehall Coplay School District for 26 years before retiring.
A very active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall, where she sang with the choir, helped bring elderly members to church and volunteered for many church dinners and functions.
Her survivors include a son Paul Tisdale; sister-in-law Shirley Snyder; niece Robin; and nephews Lee and Mike.
She was predeceased by brothers Richard and Vernon.
Private services will be at the convenience of the family.
