A Northampton Borough woman was charged with drug possession Aug. 25 after a monthlong investigation by Northampton County Drug Task Force.

According to police, Northampton County Drug Task Force conducted three half-gram buys of methamphetamine from Karen Else, 48, of the 1400 block of Cedar Street. In serving a search warrant, officers of the drug task force obtained 255 grams of marijuana, 105 grams of methamphetamine, scales and packing material, police said.

Else has been charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and marijuana, police said; additional charges are pending.

Colonial Regional, Moore Township and Northampton Borough police departments participated in the operation.
