Two injured in 3-vehicle crash

South Whitehall Township Police Department and Officer David Gross are investigating a three-vehicle crash which occurred around 11:55 a.m. on Sept. 19 at the intersection of Route 309, Church Road and Walbert Avenue, South Whitehall Township.

According to Officer Gross’ investigation, Kaitlyn Moser of Richland was driving a Jeep Patriot southbound on Route 309 when it struck a Lexus SUV driven by Frederic Kutteroff of Orefield, while in the intersection of Route 309 and Walbert Avenue.

The Lexus was struck on the passenger side and rolled onto its drivers side, police say.

It then struck a Chevrolet pickup operated by Edward Showers of Lebanon which was stopped at the intersection of Route 309 and Church Road, across from Walbert Avenue.

Kutteroff and his passenger, Karen Kutteroff, were extricated from their vehicle.

They were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, with complaints of pain in the head and extremities.

Woodlawn, Greenawalds, and Cetronia fire departments and Stew’s Tire Center assisted at the scene.

Emergency medical care was provided on scene by Cetronia Ambulance Corps as well as Northern Valley Ambulance Corps.

The accident remains under investigation.
