Lennia I. Hamsher

Lennia I. Hamsher, 75, of Krumsville, died Sept. 17, 2016, in Fellowship Villa, Whitehall.

She was the wife of the late Ronald C. Hamsher, who died in November 2006 after celebrating 39 years of marriage.

Born in Greenwich Township, she was the daughter of the late Earl W. and Mildred L. (Adam) Snyder.

A 1959 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, she was a member of New Jerusalem Zion UCC, Krumsville, and an honorary member of St. John’s UCC, Laurys Station.

She was very active in the Sunday School program at New Jerusalem Zion, both by playing piano for hymn singing as well as serving as the secretary of the Sunday School for 57 years beginning in 1957.

She also served as the secretary for the Mt. Zion Senior Friends and was active with the Blandon senior citizen group.

Her survivors include a son, Robert C. and his wife, Tracy, of Laurys Station.

Family and friends may pay their respects 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at St. John’s UCC, 1415 Rising Sun Road, Laurys Station.

A memorial service will take place 10:30 a.m. Sept. 23 with the Rev. Dr. James T. Gottwald and Pastor Tammie Wisniewski officiating.

A meal will follow the service in fellowship hall.
